I recently recorded a wav file of a band into sound forge. I came line in into the computer from a monitor out on the sound board. The wav file is clipped just a bit. By clipped I mean flattened off on the top. This results in just a bit of distortion on the vocals especially. Is there a filter or something I can apply to clean it up? Thanks |

Absolutely. Noise Reduction 2.0 has a "clipped peak restoration" function which lets you restore a good sound to parts which you describe as "flattened." You have several ways to achieve the desired result, too. You can download NR 2.0 in demo form and use it for one month for free . |

I should add that if you have any control over the initial recording volume, you won't run into this problem so drastically. |
