Hello,

I am desperately trying to connect my Yamaha Motif 6 keyboard to ACID 4.0. I have bought MIDI cables but i still have no idea how to connect it. Can anybody help me out?

Thanks

(1) - Do you have a soundcard with dedicated MIDI in and out? (Does it have 2 of the round connectors that match your cables)
If not, (2) - do you have the MIDI cables which connect to your joystick port? (15 pin connector)
If (1) then the out from your keyboard goes to the in on your soundcard and the in on your keyboard goes to the out on the soundcard.
If (2) then the round ends go to your keyboard and they should be marked 'in' and 'out', as should the ports on your keyboard.

Check the Acid manual on how to record MIDI.

Hope it helps,
John.

You'll need an adapter to the 15 pin joystick.

Also, since you have a motif, you can get an mLan8e (install in your motif). I love it but that's probably more than you want to deal with right now.
