Subject:Acid 4e has crashed on me - Help!

Acid has crashed on me for the first time ever! Just after I'd installed the new 4e version. Sob sob.

The problem has something to do with MIDI. When I launch Acid I get this warning:

The input device YAMAHA USB IN 0-1 is in use by another application.

Then I get a message telling me that certain features aren't available in this version of Acid.

Then when I try to record audio or MIDI, I get dumped. Here's the error message I get before Acid closes:

I never had this problem with Acid 4b. What's up?

Can someone at Sony or Sonicfoundry help, please?

Is the Yamaha USB enabled only for input under ACID preferences? (Did you try picking up any updates for the device?) Any other apps running?

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling 4.0e. (Don't install an earlier version of ACID before the update; the update also acts as a standalone version of ACID. Keep your serial key handy.)
