Need Recommendation: 4-input Soundcard

I'd like to add some capability to my Vegas system for recording drums. I want to have four inputs. This is for a small project studio, not a pro setup. Also, it looks like most of the options out there do not include preamps, though I have an analog four-track that I can use for this. Cheaper options sound better than pricey ones.

What card has worked out well in your experience? Looking through the posts I've found various and conflicting info on the M-Audio Delta 44, M-Audio Quattro, M-Audio 1010LT, Aardvark Direct Pro LX6. Could not find a 4-in Echo. Any others to consider? (And any opinions on a decent mike pre prefereably with four inputs, or two 2-in pre's?)

Looks like a PCI card is necessary for good audio for 4-ins. My PC is Win XP, 2.4 GHz, 512MB RAM, two HDD. Thanks in advance.

The Echo Layla has 8in/8out with spdif digital I/O also. This might be a bit pricey from the sounds of it. Other solutions from Echo is the Mia or Gina card. Both have 4 inputs, the problem is that 2 are analog and 2 are digital. You could use an external A/D converter, and connect it to the digital ins and have 4 inputs, or you could purchase 2 Mia's/Gina's and run them together, which would then give you 4 analog/4digital inputs.

On two different computers I have Egosys products. The Wamirack 24 and the Waveterminal 192M. Both are 4 in/8 out and the ins are also preamps. I've been quite happy with the results and they work quite well with Vegas.

You can find more information at their specs at the Egosys website:
