Hi, I just purchased a Delta 44 card and downloaded the latest driver. But it won't install. I tried from Hard Drive location, from floppy (A:/) with no success. In all the unzipped files contained in the download from their site, I noticed there's no "setup" file or something like that... Did any of you successfully installed this card ? You need to install the driver from the harware manager. Click on system in the control panel. Click on the Harware Tab Then click on device manager. You will see your Soundcard as a PCI device with a yellow trinagle or querstion mark next to it. Right click on it and install the driver from the location you have saved the files. Ian F |

Stuart, I have the 2496 and have had no problems with it at all. It's great being able to work with 24 bits right up to CD burning. I think they're still around $150. John |

"You need to install the driver from the harware manager" IanF: You mean, I *have* to pass thru the device manager? So I figure out I have to close this pop up window telling me I got hardware detected then go thru control pannel, etc... Bizarro... I'll give it a try. But do you know how come it is so ? :/ Thanks for replying! |

Second that. The Audiophile 2496 is a great card. The Echo MiaMIDI is another great alternative as well. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

have you managed to install OK ? I dont know why its like that. but at least you know you are only installing drivers for the sound card and not a bunch of other crap like you do with Sound Blaster. The delta 44 is a great card Ive got one, it use to have problems with Acids version of ASIO but not anymore. Ian f |

Ooooooh YeaaaaaaaaaaaH !!! It installed just like you said. But now, I lost my "rear channel". I got those Logitech 560 speakers and now I can just use the sub woofer and the left and right channels ("front"). I noticed there's no "mon out" concerning channels 3-4 in the Delta Pannel. I simply plugged my speakers in chan.out. 1 thru 4 thinking I'd get my "4.1" system back but... umph... not! Is it possible to get my channels back using settings or it's simply impossible to do that with the Delta 44? I also got a few "cracks 'n'pops" that I didn't have previously... I'm gonna mess around with the settings to get rid of those annoying sounds. But I'd really like to get all my speakers back since I run a wire to my lounge into my sound system to get a "centralised headquarter" for all my music, DVD, etc... Anybody please??? :/ |
