After instalin v.7.0 got this RUNDLL Error.

<<Error Loading C:\PROGRA~1\Sonic The specified module could not be found>>.
Annoying popup what uppear twise on start SF. After is gone, program work
normaly.......,BUT CANT RECOGNAZE ANYMORE DX-PLUGS from third party and even SF own NOISE REDUCTION v2.0a. Bad things, when it happ first time I am uninstall Perfectly working v6.0e ( thinking that was conflict between 6.0 and 7.0!! Heh). Now after reinstalling v6.0 I have same problem!!
What Happined and any solution Exist? I know already some PPL have same problem. Any advise will be greatly appresiated.

Hi Bim Bom,

My heart goes out to you. Sometimes, what I have done in similar situations would be to uninstall both apps, shutdown, reinstall the one, and see how it goes. It may work fine then. However, sometimes files with settings seem to be left behind, even after an uninstall. Then the problem can reoccur. In this case, I wound up reformatting my hard drive. This may not be the most preferred way to go, but it is a way that has worked for me. Good luck.

Hmmm... ooops, I just thought of something else...

I wonder if that app is trying to call out on to the web. That could also jam up the works. I had problems with Nero's INCd like that. What I did was run MSCONFIG, go to the startup tab and deselect all those things associated with it. Fixed its wagon but good.

Sorry for my being such a scatter brain here, but I thought of something else since you mention Noise Reduction and your plugins... Have you registered and activated your Noise Reduction?

1. Start->Run. Type in regedit, click OK.
2. Go to the following location in the Registry Editor: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem
3. On the right side you should see NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation. Double click that.
4. Make sure the window says Hexadecimal, then change the 1 to a 0.
5. Close Registry Editor, reboot the computer, then reinstall the program.

I cant register NR cuz you cant register NR itself! You need Host prog like Sound Forge! But SF not see, third party DX plugs anymore! It a circle!
And I am already change value to 0 in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation It not help.
I am just download Batch Converter Demo for test this problem and try make first clean install, after I am make changes in Registry!!! Same problem with
RUNDLL!
Cant reformat my perfectly working and very tuned Mashine ! I spend months to to tweak system for maximum possible performance!
Better I forget and Uninstal SF complit, if I not find right fix and swith on WaveLab fulltime! WaveLab still work perfectly for me!!!! Still recognase all Plugs, fast and no Unexpected RUNDLL errors.

Guys! Really don't know what happ, but SF 7 reinstalled in normal mode now! Bug with RUNDLL was gone and it start scan plugs again!
Some mistery? I dont believe in mistery! If someone carefully check this forum
last days, here was shutdown (support site not work @ 09.29 some hours).
So probably here was fix, what kind? I dont know. I change nothing in my comp and SF 7 and old version start work Normaly! Probably Sony adjust
somethings ( mostly I believe somekind WEBCHECK at Install or Autoconnect
bla,bla... what deliver bug). Anyway it work now! Thx all PPL here for Tryin to Help me here and thx to SONY SOUND FORGE CREW!
