I'm working on large wave files comprising a full concert so there is stage talk between the songs. Sometimes this talking is too loud compared to the music so I use Graphic Dynamics to reduce the highest levels. I use these settings: Attack = Release = 0ms, Threshold = -14db, Ratio = 4:1, Gain = 0db After this operation is done, there several noticeable pops or clicks in this section of the waveform. I've done a bit of experimenting it's definetly Graphic Dynamics causing these clicks. If I change Release = 10ms, it still happens. I could just reduce the level directly, but that sounds funny since the whole wave section reduces in volume; I just want to reduce the highest points. thanks.
