Is there any way I can record live vocals and instruments and add them to Acid 3.0 without spending hundreds of dollars? Im doing this for fun not professionally. Is it possible to record vocals into Windows 98se and add effects with Acid or do I need another program /software alltogether thats compatible with Acid? |

yes, it is definitely possible - depending on the interface that you have - I have heard, however, of people using a decent mike & adapting it down to the 1/8" computer mic input jack as well- start with a decent vocal mike ( like a shure sm 58) then find a balanced mic line (multiprong that fits your new mic) to 1/4" cable & then into a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter (available at radio shack) You may want to get a decent 2 track editor to adjust the dynamics of your recording, though sound forge studio 6.0 (the beginner's sound forge) ain't a bad place to start for the price. |
