How do you reduce or turn off "video acceleration"?

Well I went online to see how you do this and I cannot find anythingon my computer that leads me to any settings for adjusting the video acceleration. I found adjustments for audio acceleration but that's it. Is it possible that my computers vid card(what it came with) has no way of adjusting it? Am I DOOOOMED?

It depends on your video card, but try Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot. That's where it is for my ATI Rage Fury Pro. It should get you close to the right spot for your card.
