Subject:Will Acid do all of this?

Hello,

I need to do the following:

Playback DV video (via firewire), 2 tracks of audio AND send out midi patch change messages.

I intially thought Vegas, but abandoned the idea due to lack of midi support. I turned to Calkwalk's Sonar program. Sonar's video support is terrible. The program is clearly not designed for any video work. I'd like to be able use several different video clips in a song. This is way beyond what Sonar can do.

If Vegas had midi support, I would be set. Will Acid do what I need?

ACID supports only one video track, but does support many video file types such as AVI and MPEG. You are not able to access/playback video like you can with Vegas (but that is an idea).

As an aside, ACID and Vegas were meant to compliment each other's features. (Sound Forge basically compliments both apps with its digital audio editing features.)
