Subject:How? Repeat a Loop on a Different Beat

Hello,

Using Acid Music or Sound Forge, how do you take a loop that repeats on every beat then change it to repeat on the fourth or eighth beat instead?

I don't want change my loop to "one shot" then space it out on the track. As you know, this takes too much time.

Thanks,
Glenn

If you're in Acid and you want the entire loop to repeat, use the pencil tool and begin on whatever beat you want and the loop will repeat based on where you start, as opposed to where you "should be" with the paint tool.

As far as Soundforge goes, you could mark where you want the "loop" to begin, select from that marker to the end, cut, then paste it at the beginning of the wave file and it should give you the same effect.
