I can't seem to get Acid Pro to sync with my Akai DR8 8-track hard disk recorder. I've been through all the prefs in Acid Pro as well as the Delta control settings for my Audiophile soundcard, and I'm pretty sure that the Akai is set to receive the midi clock. It's driving me NUTS! Anyone out there had a similar problem? The drinks are on me if you solve the problem! |

I could only glean info that pertained to the DR8 being able to produce MIDI Clock as master but not a slave. Could this be your problem? HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

Hi there Iacobus, I think you're right. The options on the DR8 as far as midi clock are concerned are either Master or Off. Midi Time Code and Midi Machine Code don't work and my Delta card doesn't offer SMPTE. So I will have to export the files into another program like Cubase if I am to sync the PC successfully. Thankyou very much for replying. I really appreciate it. If you're ever in London I'll get the beers in. Howie Lunatic. |
