Okay, I'm considering using Vegas to track for music recording. I'm using a Tascam DM-24 console, which has remote control for outboard gear via MIDI. I use it for transport, locate points and track arming for a chain of DA-38's.
So, I already use Vegas for video. I'm considering getting a MOTU 2408 mkII or mkIII (if that element even matters) and TDIF'ing 24 channels from console to PC and vice-versa.
My question is, does Vegas allow remote control for locate, transport and track arming via MMC?
Any tips, pros and cons are welcomed.
