Subject:low memory?

I have 256 mb of memory, but when I try to open acid I get an error message that reads, "system low on memory". I downloaded some software to show me where my memory was going, and saw that like 60% of it was being used for no apparent reason. I had nothing running - no applications, and still 120 mb of mem was being used.
Everything else seems to be working just fine though.

What OS are you using? It sounds like Blaster (if truly nothing else is running). Of course, I have Blaster on the brain since I've been fighting it at work for two weeks now.

Are you noticing any other problems?
