Subject:Acid Music 3.0 and Guitar Port 2.0

I was using Guitar Port 1.0 with Acid Music 3.0 just fine... downloaded Guitar Port 2.0 and now when I try to record, I get an error message: An unsupported media type was requested. Microsoft Sound Mapper does not support the current input device.

Running Microsoft XP, SoundBlaster Audigy soundcard.

I did see an error message that said the soundcard could not record and playback at the same time, but I had been doing it before.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Don

I don't believe ACID Music 3.0 lets you choose a specific hardware input for recording. (Think ACID Pro was the only version of ACID that lets you do that.)

Did you try updated drivers for the Audigy? What is the resolution and sample rate set at? (Ideally, it should be 16-bit/48 kHz.)

How is the GuitarPort connected for recording?

Also try uninstalling/reinstalling ACID.

Sample rate is 16/48 and Guitar Port is connected by USB. I'll try to uninstall/reinstall Acid 3.0.

We'll see....

Thanks for the info!

If anything, be sure to contact Line 6 directly if things still aren't working.
