Subject:playing back from hard Disk

when I'm playing back tracks recorded direct onto the hard disk (to free up ram) the sound quality isn't up to scratch compared to tracks that are looped...they sound warbly, almost as if they're going through a badly adjusted chorus effect. Is this to be expected or is my hard disk not up to scratch?

yes it did! thanks mD. unchecking the boxes inproved the sound quality quite a bit.
