Hi everyone, why is it that when I convert .wav loops to mp3, they sound like their are ghosting or something? It seems like the tempo of the loop doesn't match up with the master tempo. It sounds like there is a delay on it?? Does acid support mp3 loops to synch like do wavefiles? I know I can render to mp3, but I can't seem to get mp3 loops to stream well. Thanks |

mp3s require, due to the format, at least some space. you can never get rid of it. the cool edit/audition format .cel gets rid of this limitation and still has mp3-like compression, but is only in cool edit/audition |

Leave them as .wav files. |

Yes, either leave them as .wav's, or change them to .pca or even .ogg will deal a bit better with looping than .mp3's. Really, if you care about the quality of your final mix, you should avoid anything lossy, so stick with .wav, .aif, or .pca. Cheers, Joel |

I've used the .pca and have been happy with it. You can only use it in SF products (I think), but it sounds good. I impot my Mp3s into Sound Forge, edit and acidize them, and save them as .pca. |
