                            Load six wav files as separate tracks in a Vegas 4, 5.1 project.                                  Adjust the surround panners to route the tracks to the proper 5.1 position. Render as AC-3, using the 5.1 template.  |

                            You can keyframe the motion just as you would with a video effect.  right click on your audio track and expand surround pan keyframes, then just set one where the move starts, set one where the move ends, then change the position at the second keyframe, and vegas will pan it.                                  |
