You may automate FX by first adding the FX to the respective soft synth in the Mixer, then show the bus track (U on your keyboard) and automate like you would for a digital audio track.

If you want to automate any other type of effect (like MIDI pitch bends or an effect specific to a soft synth), I believe you must have a MIDI controller with assignable controls. Believe the soft synth must also have support for MIDI automation.

hey mD thnks a lot for reply, that's a good tip! ; )

but .. i do not want to add a FX to the soft-synth, I just want to record ITS automations
a function similar to "wright" & "read" in cubase.. have ACID one?
that is a simple function that allows to record the variations when i twiddle the knob of my synth

thnks again

regards

It should be possible as long as it's all done via MIDI (and both your MIDI controller has assignable MIDI controls and the soft synth has support for automation).

If you're having problems, twiddle the pitch bend wheel a bit before actually recording. For some reason, some MIDI controllers have a problem unless this is done.
