Subject:AP4 project in AM3 Posted by: groovewerx Date:9/1/2003 4:32:17 AM I just got an acid zip from a friend that uses AP4. It won't open because I use AM3. If I install the AP4 demo the project will load but I can only hear 2 minutes of it at a time. If I render the files in the AP4 demo so I can open them in AM3, an annoying beep destroys the result. How can I work on this project in AM3 or the AP4 demo and save or export what I've done so I can open it in AM3? So far it looks like I'll have to add a count-in metronome and play each track into DAT or WL4 to record the 2 minute runs, and then splice the passages together...what a hassle. Is there a better way? (And NO, I don't need AP4 for anything else. So buying it is a waste of my money.) If I could extract the audio from the .acd-zip, I could open the project in the AP4 demo and duplicate the arrangement in AM3. How do I extract audio from the package?

We don't support previous project format "export", but even if we did, you'd still have to get a license of AP4 to export to a AM3 readable project file. An acd-zip is a zip file with a different extenision. I will leave it to you to take it to the next step. Peter
