Subject:AP4 project in AM3

I just got an acid zip from a friend that uses AP4. It won't open because I use AM3. If I install the AP4 demo the project will load but I can only hear 2 minutes of it at a time. If I render the files in the AP4 demo so I can open them in AM3, an annoying beep destroys the result.

How can I work on this project in AM3 or the AP4 demo and save or export what I've done so I can open it in AM3?

So far it looks like I'll have to add a count-in metronome and play each track into DAT or WL4 to record the 2 minute runs, and then splice the passages together...what a hassle. Is there a better way? (And NO, I don't need AP4 for anything else. So buying it is a waste of my money.)

If I could extract the audio from the .acd-zip, I could open the project in the AP4 demo and duplicate the arrangement in AM3. How do I extract audio from the package?

Have your friend send you the audio files separately.

No, there is nothing you can do short of purchasing AP4. We don't support previous project format "export", but even if we did, you'd still have to get a license of AP4 to export to a AM3 readable project file.

An acd-zip is a zip file with a different extenision. I will leave it to you to take it to the next step.
