For example, Lets say I wanted to sync a justin timberlake track with a good dance beat. I know this has been done but its just an example. I have been using programs like fruity loops, cubase and soundforge. But the only one thats anyway decent is acid. So if anyone knows of anything better give me a shout! cheers! Or if anyone has any good tips when using acid. For some reason when i use acid (the program) It doesnt sync the beats properly or when it does sync them it syncs the beats in a totally different tempo to the original. So please if anyone can help me out i'd be greatful! |

I have been told that all you do is bring in the two samples put each on the same tempo and it should work. Its not as easy as that as i have found out. So if anyone knows or has an idea of what i'm doing wrong i'd be greatful! |

If the tempo of the imported track was even a little off compared to the tempo of the project it's being brought into, you could have problems. Even if you let ACID analyze the tempo and set the project to the Beatmapped track, it still might not help. For example, if the track you imported was intended for, say, 120 BPM and ACID's Beatmapper analyzes it as 119.900 BPM, you're going to have problems as the track will eventually drift away from the project. One of the best things to do is to keep the project locked to the track itself. Check out this KB article for more info. Other things that might help are to know the intended, exact tempo of the song you're importing and have the Beatmapper match that. Sound Forge's ACID Loop Creation Tools toolbar can also help out (with standard time signatures anyway). Any four beat selection should give an approximate tempo to follow.
