I'm using ACID 4.0. Using my Mackie mixer, I record 2 mics simultaneously, panning one hard right, one hard left, but the result isn't a STEREO MIX. The mixer is working properly, but I suspect the trouble lies in my sound card (Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum EX). I've plugged the mixer outs into LINE IN 1 MIC and LINE IN 2. Does ACID ALLOW RECORDING IN STEREO? |

Yes, ACID records in stereo just fine. I think your problem is in how you're connecting to the Audigy card. The line input on the back is a stereo jack so you should be connecting both the left and right outs of the mixer to that one jack. I presume it's a 3-conductor 1/8" jack, just like a standard headphone jack. If you're connecting to the external box then use the Aux In 2 left and right inputs. |

yes, acid records in stereo your sound card mixer inputs must also be panned hard left and right ie line in 1/mic pan left - line in2/mic pan right this applies to all programs able to record from the inputs on your sound card |
