Which version of ACID do you have? The latest version (ACID Pro 4.0) lets you burn tracks in a project according to where the Loop Region is placed. If you do have ACID 4.0, simply place the Loop Region over the area of the project you'd like to make a separate track and bring up the CD burning dialog. Check the "burn loop region only" option. If you go this route, it might be helpful to place markers or regions over the areas you'd like to burn so that you can easily double-click between markers or regions so that the Loop Region will snap automatically to the area for easy burning. Be aware that ACID does Track-at-Once (TAO) burning only, so there will be a 2 second gap between tracks. (It's inherent to the format.) If you want no gaps between tracks, you will have to use Disc-at-Once (DAO) burning. Compatible apps include Easy CD Creator and Nero as well as Sony/SoFo's own Vegas and CD Architect. Is there any way to get around that (the 2 second gap, I mean)? Say, if you were to put your mix together in AP 4, then mark off your track breaks, then render each section to seperate wav files and then use EZ CD Creator or something to burn them Disk At Once? Would that work? I'd try it, but it would take bleeding ages to do all that rendering first just to find out there's still 2 second gaps from the rendering or blip glitches between the tracks. Thanks! www.harmstation.com |

You sure can do that, as Easy CD Creator does DAO burning. There shouldn't be any glitches or anything, as ACID is spot on when rendering. Just be sure that the next region begins exactly where the other ended. If you have Sound Forge (the full version), you can also use its "extract regions" feature to quickly split one WAV (or other format like PCA) file into several according to where regions were placed in ACID Pro. (You'd have to render out of ACID first, of course.) You can then immediately use the DAO burning app of your choice from there. Thanks mD. I actually spotted another thread afterwards where you answered this exact same question. Perfect, as I have a new CD I'm creating that would realy benefit from un-fettered transitions... 8@) Rid. |
