I just purchased Acid later last week and finally got around to trying out the Classic 8 Pack disc. When I download the wav. files and try to play them on from my computer, I get the window saying: Windows does not know what program created this file. I select Winamp because it usually allows me to hear Wav. files outside of Acid, but nothing plays. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Kev |

Are you able to hear the WAV files right off the CD-ROM itself? (Can you use the Explorer in ACID to simply browse and listen to the files on the CD-ROM?) HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

Are you trying to listen to the individual loops, or the 8-pack? Individual loops will play back because they are wave files. 8-Packs are acid projects with a different extension. They won't play in Winamp, unless you render them as waves first. I believe the 8-packs are zipped on the CD, but I'm not sure, I don't have it. If that's the case you'll need to unzip them first. Then open Acid and double clic on the "A" icon of your desired 8-pack. That'll load the 8-pack in Acid. M |
