Hi, Normally I read things about removing the vocals from a song, but I want it the other way around:I want to remove the music so I have the voice isolated. Any tips ? I know how the get a voice removed from a song, but not the other way around. Thanks! Gerard. |

Well, if you had two voices panned hard right and left, and all the accompaniment was mono dead center, then you could use the same technique to sort of remove the accompaniment and leave the voices, more or less. You're probably not likely to find songs prepared this way though. The vocal remover method you're familiar with removes material that is identical in both channels and (sort of) preserves what's different between the channels. It can't work the other way around. |

Oh common Kelly! Unleash it for him. If he is satisfied with the results he gets cutting the center out removing vocals (and everything else there) he will be astounded by your Vegas remove "whatever" setup! :-) MJ |

...I know the drill for removing vocals...doesn't have any use for me (believe me..you don't wanna hear me sing gun's and roses, barry manilow and such.) ;) I had an conversation once with someone...I used this conversation as cut-up samples in an old song of mine.Since all midi and such is reproducable but those samples (lost the soundbankdata then, let alone the original conversation,it was 1995 or something) the only thing I have left is a DAT tape of that arrangement.O well....if it can't be done.... And yes ,those samples ARE in the middle.Duh. Maybe some idea for a *Hot*New*Product* ?? Instead of ads in music mags about "Remove vocals! Sing along with the best " and such, there would be something like "Remove accompany! Have a great singer at your disposal!" Etc. :) Gerard |
