Right click on the file and select "properties". Make sure "Read-Only" is not checked. If you copied this file from a CDrom and copied it to your hard drive the properties default to "Read-Only", since you can't save to a CDrom.

I already tried that, but its not the problem i cant save no changes in an original file, Ihave to change the name (save as anther file) to save.
It says something about "an error has ocurred trying to save the file"

Make sure you have the latest patch installed. Especially if you are saving to a different drive.

That's happened to me at least 4 or 5 times, sometimes after SF updates, sometimes after W2K reinstalls. I never quite got a total handle on it, but on at least a couple of occasions the only thing that worked was to totally uninstall SF, including any of the installation folders that still might be on your hard drive, and then reinstalling SF from scratch. The other thing that got wiggy along with the inability out of nowhere to save files, was the inability to open files with the Open With feature in W2K. That usually required a reinstall as well. I haven't had any problems for a while, though. H.I.H.
