what kind of preamp do I need to use(before my Mia Sound card) for a microphone to record on AcidPro 4.0? If there are any inexpensive modles that you know of please let me know. THANX!

Maybe M-Audio's Audio Buddy? (Can be found for about $80 street.)

Try the ART Tube MP preamp.
I have it with the Mia.
Works great.

Look at the Studio Projects VTB-1. For $130 it competes with pres up to the $500 range. Very clean and has a tube drive if you want it.
