Adding support for the Panasonic AJ-SDX900?

Based on discussions at another forum reps from Panasonic have stated there is a codec available to make it easy to edit the footage from this new camera (480/24p/30p/60i 16/9 - 4/3 swicthable). Avid and Apple have licensed the codec, I was wondering if sony/sofo has considered doing that.

Either as an additional cost item, or an update to the existing Vegas codec. I'm hoping Sony keeps an open mind about competitors products.

This camera is currently the only one offering dv50 (dvcpro50) capture via firewire (it works just fine with existing firewire, firewire 800 is NOT needed).

Even if sony/sofo had to charge a small amount to support it, it would be significantly less expensive than having to go SDI.

Hoping for and asnwer from somone at sony.
