This may sound like a strange question but would like to know if this is okay to use reg# from Acid pro4(I am a registered owner AP4.0) to use Acid Pro3 ? Also will Acid Music 3.0g coexist in same PC as Acid Pro 4.0e ?

You can use them if each version is yours and registered to you.

Example: I'm the registered owner of Acid Rock 2.0, Acid Pro 3.0 and Acid Pro 4.0 so I can have them all on my PC and use them. Right now I have Acid Pro 4.0 and Acid Rock 2.0 on my PC with SoFo's blessing(and they coexist very well).

If you purchased Acid Music 3.0 at the time, primarily because you couldn't afford Pro 3.0 I gather, SoFo can't just give you the right to use Pro 3.0 just because you purchased Pro 4.0.

You seem to say that you purchased Music 3.0 and Pro 4.0, is that correct? If so, you can have both of those coexist on the same PC.

Buying Acid Pro 4.0 doesn't entitle you to all previous versions of Pro free of charge. You must try to understand that some people saved up their cash, maybe went without buying other "goodies" just so they could by the Pro version of 3.0. You went the cheaper route and bought Music 3.0.
Now, because you can afford Pro 4.0, you should be able to have Music 3.0, Pro 3.0 and Pro 4.0? Even though you only purchased Music and Pro 4.0?
I hope you understand that it would be a big dissapointment to those who saved up to buy Pro 3.0, to see that you would now be able to use that version free of charge.

Long story short, buying any software doesn't entitle you to the previous version for free.
I also have Vegas 4.0+DVD, and Vegas Video 3.0. That doesn't give me the right to ask SoFo for Vegas Pro 2.0 for free.

Very interesting...

I bought DJ3 and then upped to M3. I wonder if I can use M3 on my DAW and use DJ3 on my laptop.

Bodica: More than likely, you shouldn't have a problem. There were some users who were having problems with both 3.0 and 4.0 versions installed, but those were few.

groove: I couldn't imagine why not. As long as you're registered with both DJ 3.0 and Music 3.0, it shouldn't be a problem.

Some companies consider an upgrade purchase as an extension of the original license which usually states you cannot use the software on more than one machine and so on...

If you add up the money I spent for both, it is slightly more than the price of M3. I thought SF might see that as a single license purchase.

I just re-read the original question and noticed something about it. Bodica asked if the registration number from ACID Pro 4 can be used for ACID Pro 3. Very simple answer: no. If you try to enter it you'll simply be told that it's an invalid number. You'll have to get a unique registration number for each different piece of software.

What's the easiest and best way to get that unique registration number? Purchase a license for the software.

I actually remember seeing in the agreement that you may install ACID on more than one computer as long as you are the sole user.

Don't recall anything about different versions, but I imagine the same would apply.
