Media Face 2 from Neato. Not the greatest, but it works fine for simple labels.

I've been using the Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum labeler section of the program very successfully.

That's about the best part of the entire Easy CD Creator program. It is very good for labels.

If there was something better, I would get it. All of the software I have ever seen that comes with the actual labels is no good...in my opinion.

I use SureThing CD Labeler Deluxe. It's at Version 4 now, and is slicker than a US President when confronted with a scandal. <grin> Does labels, case inserts (CD and DVD), VHS and cassette labels, and more. Check it out at www.surething.com.

- ProCreate KnockOut 2 (especially great for masking hair!)

Thanks for the suggestions. It appears Surething is probably the best value for the money. I have the Roxio software, but, at least my copy, doesn't do DVD case inserts. I also have Powerpoint and the Corel Graphics Suite and often use them for to generate artwork, but was looking for something with a large collections of canned graphics and label templates that would work with any stock (I buy Meritline in bulk).

Has anyone tried or used "Stomper", DVD labelling package?

Nero Cover Designer - latest versions work fine with dvd covers

Any of the suggestions above will work for the case insert. Some of them (Neato, Roxio, etc.) have circular templates for the CD/DVD label

However, beware. because a lot of people claim that putting a label on a DVD can cause the DVD to malfunction. Some people say there is no problem but I'm not so sure. I still label my DVD with a marker (some people say even that can ruin a DVD). Apparently, the problem does not necessarily show up right away but does eventually (after you have removed all the files from your computer!).

The absolute best bet for DVD labels is to buy a printer that prints directly on the CD/DVD and to buy special disks that will accept the ink. However, this is too expensive for most of us who only do a DVD now and then.

If you're in the US the Epson Stylus PHOTO 900 is a good CD/DVD printer at a realistic price.
If you're not blessed to live in the US Epson just don't want to sell you one.
I've imported several into Australia and they work a treat.
