Subject:cannot input sound

input seems impossible. i changed the audio device type to my
sound card... i've tried inputing through the mic and input jakks/
i'm running out of ideas!! please help

When you record, are you able to select a specific input for recording? Ensure that the recording input you intend to use is not muted and its sliders turned all the way up via the soundcard's software mixer (or Windows' own mixer).

What's your soundcard?
