Sonic Foundry, do you have any plans to make ACID a re-wire slave?
I would love to use it in a pro-application together with Nuendo2.
At the moment I have to use Ableton 2, but the quality of it pisses me off frankly.
I think Acid as rewire-slave or VSTi would be the bomb!

Anybody else think so?

all the best,

There were possible plans for ACID 5.0 to be a ReWire slave (as well as a master like it is now), but last time I checked no promises were made. Wouldn't surprise me though if it did make it in.

Iacobus, any idea when Acid 5.0 is expected?
From where do you get your information?

cheers,

Steve

I use Live as a Rewire Slave with Logic 6.1 (Mac). Live definately works way better on Mac than PC. It is a great combo. Hopefully, ACID won't be passed up by Live in the future.

I...have my sources. *looks around stealthily*

Seriously, it's been beat to death many times over in this forum. You should've been around a few months ago. We even had a thread petitioning just to get ReWire (any form of it) into ACID.

Usually, a new version comes around about every year and a half or so.

Remember that if you especially want to see something in ACID, make sure to head on over to the product suggestion page. They don't personally respond, but they do listen, as long as it's not too much of a tall order depending where they are in the development cycle.

It's actually because of me that 64th note grid resolution made it back into ACID Pro 4.0. It went missing in ACID Pro 3.0. (Not that I'm bragging, but just to show they do listen.)
