hey,
who has a decent reverb plug in that works well with acid pro or sound forge- I am not knocking express fx or anything (actually i am) but, i have a coupla cheap-ass reverb out-board units that have better sounding reverb (and I am getting sick of the way that those 2 units sound as well)- any suggestions for plug ins that work well with acid? free is cool but, at this point, i am willing to spend a little money-

while not a reverb, more of a delay you might try spectron from izotope or the pspaudioware psp84

Timeworks 4080L is a very good sounding reverb. The ReverbX by them is as well but can be a CPU hog depending upon the preset type.
Waves makes very good reverbs too (Rverb for example).
Those are the only ones I use.

I'm a 4080L user, too - great verb. Their EQ (the blue one) and Mastering Compressor are excellent as well.

Personaly, I really appreciate 1 in particular that sounds GREAT: Magnus' Abience Reverb, at smartelectronix. This reverb is FREEWARE but is really acclaimed! Good reviews at KvR's forum. Link to get it:

I second Ambience, although I've had trouble with it dropping settings when I'm using it in a DX Wrapper.

Voxengo's free OldSkoolVerb has a really nice sound to me. Also at KVR.

Hmmm, crappy sounding reverbs? If you are using the full version of Sound Forge you might wanna check out the Acoustic Mirror Impulse files. VERY nice! They tend to be a bit cpu intensive, but they are SMOOTH! Also, the TC Electronics verbs are nice.

I can not get Ambience to work with ACID all my other plugs work?

yeah, actually not long after this original post, I was dinking around with sound forge & just figured out how to use acoustic mirror's impulse library & was having some fun with that - express fx is not that awful either really, i am just looking for some smaller room reverbs & "spring reverb" that is usable- thanks for all the input-

You have to put Ambience in a DX wrapper to use it in Acid. Acid accepts VSTi plugins, but not VST effects plugins.

I also suggest WaveArts Masterverb. The UI is great and it sounds as good (or better) than anything out there until you start getting into serious $.
