Background clicks -Sound Forge - PC - MAGIX Community Forums Archive

I play in a band and we recorded a gig at a local bar on minidisc. Another band member transfered the contents of the minidisc onto CD. I then took the CD, downloaded the whole set into Soundforge 6 (a total of 486Mbytes) and proceeded to seperate the songs with a view to burning to a CD as a demo. Incidentally, I seperated the tracks by selecting a region, cutting to clipboard, paste special to New, thus giving me 10 seperate tracks to work on using various EQ plugins and Aboretum Ionizer. The problem is that when playing back the tracks I am hearing random clicks in the background, just like scratches on an old vinyl. Any ideas on this one? Accept my gratitude in advance.
