Hi everybody.

I'm new in the forum and in Acid 4. I ran my eyes over a lot of post in this forum in order to find help about my problem :
I want to use the overdriven guitar when I open the Properties of the Soft synth but I don't know how to select it among the "voice sets". So in the piano roll, i can just edit Piano sounds...

So, I can't edit drums, violin, etc.

I tried to change the "channel", to double click on the "voice set" I want, and serch for *.dls I wanted, but i didn't manage to have a guitar sound...

So, as you see, your help will be more than appreciate ! Thanks in advance !

Overdriven guitar is part of the original DLS sound set.

Double-click on the DLS Soft Synth icon to open the properties.

Scroll down and choose patch number 29 by clicking on it. Be sure "Enable Real-Time MIDI" is enabled via the button at the top of the same window.

Once you get that done, all you have to do at that point is route your MIDI track to this soft synth via the track list. (It's a button with part of keyboard and number on it.)

Thanks for your answer mD but I can't double-click on the patch number 29 (and all the other number), so I can't select it, I only have the piano sound... But I understand what I must do... It really frustrate me...

I hope for more answers, thanks in advance !

?

If you open the Soft Synth Properties window for the DLS Soft Synth, there should be a list of instruments available. You should be able to simply scroll down and click (you don't have to double-click) on patch 29, which should have "Overdriven Gt." as its patch name.

If you have Enable Real-Time MIDI enabled via the button at the top of this window, you should be able to hear the patch via the keyboard in this same window. (Simply click on a key to hear it.)

Also, make sure you're using version 4.0e.
