Subject:OPT Midi Editor...

I've been using Acid for many years and when Acid 4 came out I was really into the idea of throwing a couple of soft synths into the mix. Then I looked at the MIDI editing solution provided, and promptly gave up.

But a quick look around this forum (for the first time) and I'm reading about the OPT MIDI Editor 2.0 from GenieSys. Sounds interesting - might just be what I'm looking for.

So I click on the link... site seems to be down...

Am I destined to never use MIDI in Acid 4 - or am I just being damn unlucky and the site just happens to be down for maintenance or something...

Ho Hum...

Nic.

It's down for me too. It was working just a few days ago.

As an aside, you could use a separate MIDI editor if you wanted a little more control and just bring the tracks in and route them appropriately for now.

I believe Peter has mentioned that they will continue to use this format for MIDI editing and will continue to improve upon it for future versions of ACID. Meanwhile, you can make suggestions via the product suggestion form.

Can anyone from SoFo comment on whether the site is temporarily down, or if it's gone.
You guys must be able to shed some light on this??

Isn't OPT one of those good ideas that just didn't make it to the mainstream?

Sure is obscure now, but it'd take just one big company to hop on board and it'd be off and running...
