Subject:Midi problems with tascam us-122

I can't get Acid to generate playback of a KORG rhythm synth through the midi out connection.
Does anyone have some suggestions/similar problem?
I have tried all the combinations of hookups and settings, the tascam unit shows it is sending the midi out info, but my synth still doesn't start playback. I have the midi clock on the synth set to external.
Very frustrated.

try paging up & down thru your midi channels on the keyboard- maybe the channel your sending the midi info out on is different than the channel that your keyboard is set to receive on -
