hey all- Just got my new Echo Gina 24 system, and I tried recording digital audio using SF. I have a Sony Mini-Disc player hooked up using the optical out to the optial digital in on my Gina. When I set everything up in SF, I got it to record OK but upon playback, the speed of the .wav file was like a chipmonk song - quite fast. Any ideas whay could be causing this? I haven't tried this before (obviously) and would love any kind of assistance. Regards Warren |

I had this problem before, I solved it by making sure that set up the sample rate, timing and bit rate properly in both SF and on the configuration panel at the sound card device. See if you record at like 44.1 and then SF is set to 96 then it will play in a scaled fashion, but if it is reveresed it will work fine. Make sure the properties of the file are set according to the recording properties of the sound card. let me know ok -- |

Thanks for the input. I did lock the sample rate on my Gina to 44.1 - I initially had it unlocked. Once the sample rate was locked I tried recording in SF and all is well. Warren |
