*Help* In Acid 4: I record track 1, then I record trk #2, then #2 and so on. I'm monitoring earlier tracks so I can play guitar along with them in sync. BUT THEY END UP ON MY LATEST TRACK -- which I want isolated, so I can mix. In other words, when I playback track #10, it has 1-9 already mixed in! I've muted my speakers and am listening thru headphones to earlier recorded tracks. I'm using Sound Blaster platinum ex, which only has one MIC IN. I can isolate my track #10 by recording it WITHOUT playing back earlier tracks as I record, but this is pointless as I need those things to figure out where I am in the song. |

Sounds like you need to monitor while recording. Make sure that "What U Hear" is not enabled for recording input. See this KB article for more info. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

Yep, I just had the same problem last week with my platinum ex - go into your "creative surround mixer" & change the "record" box from "what u hear" to whatever input you want to record from - I killed about an hour trying to figure this one out - |
