Subject:LAeq, why isn't it in VV or DVDA?

Having done some extensive reading I believe I need to know this values of my soundtrack to correctly encode to AC3. Sound Forge will tell me the RMS value which is a good approximation.

Given that the code is already written should it be in either VV or DVDA or anything else designed to encode to AC3?
