The FAQ says the acd file is corrupt, but this may not always be the case. I've had this happen and reinstalling Acid fixed the problem. In fact it's happened twice now and I'm trying to reinstall Acid a third time but am having trouble unistalling the program to do so. I had dozens of acd files go bad all at once with the 0x80004002 and reinstalling Acid fixed everything. Basically, all is not lost as the FAQ implies. Hope this can make it into the FAQ somehow.
