While recording in ACID from an external source, Instead of saving the recording as an .acd file so that I can edit it in acid, for some reason my program just all of the sudden began saving recordings as .wav files, making them unable to be opened in ACID. I can open them in sound forge, but i need to use ACID for some editing. Is there a way to convert the file to an .acd file, or to change the settings so that ACID saves the file like it used to, as an .acd file? |

.acd files are only the ACID Project files, which contains all the song info, but not the sound files themselves. so, when you record an external source in ACID, the stuff you recorded will be saved as a .wav file, because it is a sound file, not a project. after you save this file you can open it again in a new ACID project. |

Understood, thanks. But ACID won't allow me to open a .wav file. |

it won't? that's weird. is it a Microsoft Wave file and not Scott Studios? and what's the bitrate and samplerate of the wave file? |
