I was referring to the keyboard arrow keys and moving backwards and forwards through the timeline frame by frame, not moving events.
Can you explain why you think you're moving an event by only the width of a pixel?
If we take what you said literally you're suggesting that it is possible to zoom in deeper and deeper until you could click on the keyboard 6 key and assuming your project was 720x480 you could click 720 (755 times in SoFo math) in a single frame? I don't think so. Even if you could, why would you want to?
"is there a way to move a video clip either lefr or right by frames to match perfectly lipsync'd clips to the imported audio???"
Clearly the person is asking how to align the video with audio... Nudging either the video or audio a frame at a time seems logical. Did you notice the use of FRAMES?
Now about moving pixel by pixel, please tell us how you can do that.
BB, YOU are the first in this thread refer to events. Actually I do think of the timeline elements as events which denotes that the original media has been changed, or that media is used more than once.
>Now about moving pixel by pixel, please tell us how you can do that.<
Edward already answered that. But if you look it up on Sonic Foundry's list of keyboard shortcuts you will find - "Move or trim selected events one pixel left/right: Numeric Keypad 4/6"
It makes sense to me, but if you have a problem with that, take it up with SoFo.
The bottom line here is that your initial response was a non sequitur. Instead of saying, oops, I had a brainn fart, or misread the question, you throw up a smokescreen of bull ^%$&.
Gary, NOBODY is better at shoveling bull$$$$ that you as you've proved countless times in this forum and over at COW. Shame there isn't a medical procedure where you could once and for all have that giant ego of yours reduced to normal size.
