VV3 & VF 2 Shared Components - What are they?

Hi,

I purchased VideoFactory 1.0 then 2.0 and now I have Vegas 3.0. I need to know which items or components are shared between them since I read a post about VV3 where somone indicated that to improve the MPEG encoder, a user would have to load the demo of VV4? Is this correct? and if so, will this also update VideoFactory 2.0 users as well? What is the compoenent that is updated so I can update just the MPEG under VideoFactory 2.0. I have VideoFactory and VV3 on separate PC's.

Is there a list somewhere on SoFo's web site that has which components are shared? I cannot find any such document.

Don't think it'll work, don't think the folder locations are the same, and believe that VF used/uses ligos rather then mainconcept. Still, best way to find out is install the demo if you like. The location for the VV3/4 files is in the sonic foundry folder, in the shared plugins subfolder under mpeg I believe.
