As its ace at loops and audio, but its MIDI left a lot to be desired..!!

Really want Rewire as a slave please?? v.5.0 ?

I've been an advocate, for what seems like forever. I've posted several times even before 4.0. I always seen the benefits. I think SF wants to give the customer what they want evidenced by the features added from 3.0 to 4.0. At the same time I thnk they want to attempt to bring Acid into the same league as say Logic,Sonar,Cubase. I feel the customer would be better served with Acid as Rewire slave bacause no and I repeat no program matches up to Acid when it come to "Professional loop-based production tool."

VSTi would be good too - as it syncs ok etc...but i believe Rewire would be much better

1. I think you can have both progs on the screen (like Cubase/Reason) as FL4 as a VSTi in Acid, is fiddly as you have to keep opening/shutting down FL for Acid...

2. Rewire would surely make the Acid mixer appear in the host? ie have all Acid's loops mixed into the Cubase Mixer!!! with FX etc???!!!! Drooooool!!!!

Yeah I've advocated for that choice also. Either way Acid's potential would greatly increase, and I believe the customer base would also increase (subliminal message for the CFO)...Level Vibes

I think 4.0 would have really hurt if it incorporated rewire as a slave with the first rev. It took revs just to get the ASIO drivers functioning properly with some users. They made the latest rev a rewire master just to give everyone a present if you will.

I predict 5.0 will act as a slave OR we may see the long awaited integration of Vegas and Acid combined. That's a long shot.

Heck with the aquistion of Mr. Sony, I wouldn't be surprised if they integrate those lovely memory sticks into a box. Ok, now I'm insane. Or am I? Hmmm....
