Subject:Creative Extigy Question

I have an external Creative Extigy sound card (yes...I've heard they're not the best choice...too late). I'm new at this, and am having trouble making Acid Pro work with it. I've installed Acid Pro, and I've attached my sound card and installed its driver. Now what? Which settings do I change in Acid to be able to start recording? Thanks for any help! :)

Go to Options>Preferences and under the Audio tab, choose the desired output device for playback. (How it's listed is all dependent on the vendor.)

Once you choose a specific output device for playback, you should be able to choose a specific input device for recording.

The device you want will be something like "surround mapper."
