I am not the best person to help as I don't use a usb port to talk to my synths. When you open Acid, go to options, go to the midi tab.... are there midi ins and outs showing up. (should be) If so, are one or more of each checked (should be). Next, is a midi port selected in the Acid track that contains the midi data (if you click the keyboard to the right of the track name, you should see you choice), then double click the midi icon to the left of the track name and make sure the track is set to the right channel (should be 1 -16). Next make sure your synth is set to receive on that port and that channel (ie it is receiving on sound blaster midi and channel 1). If you play the track you should hear sound... if not, most synths have a light on them which indicate if they are receiving midi data... is that light going off and on... if so, recheck you channel settings (duh) make sure your synth's audio is working... (I check mine by playing the built in demo tune). Hope this helps.

Take Care
