Hi. I need to create loops of 6, 10, 12 seconds etc., from a 5 minutes music file. How do I achieve it ? without having fade effect at the begginning and end of the loop. The looping should be continous without having any silence and jerks. Help me! |

You just have to make marks at the places you want to break out a loop and extract that region to a new file. The key to not having "any silence or jerks" is getting the markers in the right place. Often this can be done by ear. Listen to the music and hit the M key to place a marker where you want the loop to start. Do the same for the end marker. Then highlight this region to audiotion the effect in loop playback mode. See if it loops cleanly. You can grab the markers and move them while auditioning to get the loop right. You can also specify the length of a section to extract in seconds or even samples. For example, figure out the tempo of the song you want to extract the loops from. Then figure the seconds in 1 bar of music. Then set a good stoart point for the loop with a M marker. Then go into the loop properties and specify the length of the loop to equal 1 bar in seconds, 2 bars in seconds, et.. This is often a way to get a loop that seamlessly loops. Eric |
