This product would benefit everyone. This is a feature that logic 6 users have been crapping over and I'm jeolous. They say after giga+OS X support but with enough names maybe we can chage that.

i dont think theyre talking about freeze in this forum, i think they are talking about fx teleport which uses the cpu of another pc over lan...

True but there the same company asking users for what they want. Well tell them!!! Since FXFreeze isn't released yet this is the place to go...now go ;)

Long story short its a method of rendering your audios tracks fx to disk with a simple click of a icon on the plugin ui itself. No need to render to new track or anything. If one would like to tweak the fx again its a simple click on the icon to "unfreeze" the track and make your adjustments.

This would be amazing because one wouldn't need a PV 5ghz cpu to keep up with these new 64bit audio plugins on the market.[ie:izotope] or you would be able to run as many waves plugins as you would like. Why? Again its because when you "freeze" the audio track it then stops the realtime process and renders the track to disk. I'm assuming it discards it when you begin tweaking once more.

This works for VSTi"s as well. Read the link for more info.

I always seem to run out of cpu power right when I have a mix "almost" there then...;( I've got to bounce...

FXFreeze hasn't been released yet so there isn't a forum set up. But the makers of FX Freeze and FXteleport are one in the same. And the thread is based in the "feature requests" section so when better to start yes? At least the owners would have a heads up to people who will possibly be purchasing their product.

umm...that link isn't for FX freeze, it's for FX teleport...totally different app.

by the way... didn't i suggest the idea of something like vst system link over ethernet back in december or january?

can i get a beta or at least some props?

back to FX freeze...it already works with DX via vst wrapper anyway, so there's no need for a petition.

well, yes this is something that will be great, i have been watching the progress from the KVR forums....

Samplitudes freeze function also is very easy to use and very effective. I certainly hope that fx freeze is compatible with all hosts.. including ACID and FLStudio.

The problem with the wrapper is that its owned by cakewalk!!!!! I have NO confidence that they'll be keeping up with any bugfixes/incompatiblities for any other apps other than their own. Maybe down the line sure but not when any of us needs a fix...Do you think?

I've always questioned that purchase. It makes no sense. Especially with how well that dude from fxpansion was doing with it. Why take up the extra burden? Was it that much of a cash cow? Or was it a PR move?

shutnot, i think its good that you got ppl roused about this, as it will be GREAT to have this in ACID or any other non freeze app for that matter.
