Im Brand New. Question on recording in Acid Pro 4 -ACID Product Family

Subject:Im Brand New. Question on recording in Acid Pro 4 Posted by: Hool Date:7/18/2003 2:26:13 PM Hi everyone, I just got acid yesterday. This is my first attempt at making a beat. Whenever I use the record button, is says "An error occurred while recording. The device specifiied is in use" I have selected Windows Classic Wave Driver in the Audio Preferences, and in the Recording screen select SB Live Wave Device as the record device because thats my soundcard.. Whenever I try to record I get this error. I have a line-in connection to the soundcard from a dvd player. But I dont think thats the problem because even when I take out the line in connection and try to record I get the error. Can anyone help? Thanks. I really want to start making my own beats!

If nothing else is running, then try updating the drivers for your sound card from the manufacturer's website. Ted

Make sure that there are no other programs open which could be using the sound card. If nothing else is running, then try updating the drivers for your sound card from the manufacturer's website.
